Rina's House History

The house was built room by room in 1945. In those poor years, the whole family lived in one room. There was a barn that housed a donkey and later it became a kitchen. Our grandfather emigrated in Germany to find work and our grandmother had to raise the 3 children of the family, as well as the cultivation of the vineyard. Grandma and Grandpa passed away and left us their home to remember them.

In April 2019, the grandchildren completed the renovation of the Rina’s House buildings.

Visit Meteora, the second-largest Greek Orthodox monastic complexes. UNESCO World Heritage Site. Attend a Sunday service on a monastery.
Hiking around the monasteries and the steep sandstone rocks. The path starts only 100 meters from Rina’s House.
Explore the narrow alleyways in old Kalambaka and visit churches dating back to the Byzantine Period.
You can try Mountain-bike around Meteora’s challenging terrain,Rock Climbing or try a yoga session.
Taste the local delicious cuisine in Kalambaka and kastraki.
Visit Natural History Museum of Meteora and Mushroom Museum and participate in a unique experience of the truffle hunting.
Visit Theopetra Prehistoric Cave.

Clean and comfortable house

Clean and comfortable with a small kitchenette that was helpful during our stay. Since it was a little house, it was nice that we did not share walls with other guests.... ++

A lovely little house that kept original regional architecture and looks. It has a cosy garden and offers the traveler all you need. It's almost on the path to Meteora, and just 5 minutes from Karampaka centre.
Owners are very kind and nice, and they'll give you all the tips where to eat, or what to see and visit in the region. They really made our staying great.... ++
